Sample Projects and Project Ideas in Chemistry

This chapter (and each chapter in Part 3) contains two complete sample projects, a list of ideas for projects, and a list of children’s literature about the chapter topic.

Each sample project has complete step-by-step instructions and answers for many of the worksheets. The child may use the answers provided and write them on his or her own worksheets. You and the student may have different answers that you want to use and may wish to modify the procedure.

The data gathering will be done by the student. Data tables are set up for ease of use and graph templates are provided. The student will need to complete the remainder of the worksheets and place them in the Experimental Notebook.

Additional ideas, props for the display, and resource books are suggested.
